Hawe inquests to begin today

The inquest into the murders of the Hawe family, Clodagh and her three young sons by their father Alan, will open today (Monday) in Cavan.

The inquest is set to begin on December 18 and last a number of days.

Clodagh (39) and her children Liam (14), Niall (11) and Ryan (6) were murdered by Mr Hawe in their home near Ballyjamesduff on August 29 last year. It’s understood Mr Hawe then took his own life in their Castlerahan property.
Mr Hawe’s body was exhumed from its initial resting place beside his family earlier this year.
