Outrage at St Felim's closure

Madam, I read in the 'Celt that St Felim's is closing. What a miss. St Oliver's in Dundalk was a similar building and the crazy health board put in lifts and fire escapes, new windows, doors, covered paths to different part, wall-lining, new everything and then razed it to the ground? I couldn't believe my eyes in the early 80s! It was antiquated but so quaint, cosy, warm, lovely. God send they won't demolish St Felim's. The new buildings are nothing in comparison. We live in eerie weird times. Kathleen Corrigan, Cootehill Editor, Over the last number of years I have been attending computer classes in St Felim's and have learned a great number of skills on the computer. I am now able to email, use the internet, and write Word documents. In addition to the skills I have obtained I enjoyed the social aspect of the courses and was able to learn computer skills in an environment that were taught in small class groups where our questions would be answered quickly and easily by our tutors. I have greatly enjoyed these classes and hope to carry on doing them. Yours sincerely, Willie Mimnagh, Moynehall, Cavan What do you think about St Felim's closure? Post your comments below.
