Crosserlough camogs hopes to go one better on Sunday

Crosserlough camogie club will be hoping to go one better on Sunday when they take on Dungiven from Derry in the 2012 Ulster Senior C Club Championship Final in Aughnamullen, Monaghan, at 2.45pm. They were unlucky in last year final when they were beaten by Cushendall from Antrim by a goal but they are anxious to go all the way this time. Club chairman, Peter Galligan, told the Anglo Celt, "we are delighted to be back in the final and hope to lift the cup on this occasion." It has been a great season so far for the club having won the championship, league and seven-a-side titles. The team have trained hard under trainer/manager Colm McEvoy who has been in charged for the past three years. "It is more or less the same panel as last year with a few new additions and they are all anxious to bring the cup back to crown a wonderful year," said Charlie. They will be replying on players like Sinead Lynch at full back, Brenda Lynch as centre back, the midfield pairing of Lorraine Day and captain Siobhan Reynolds, and in attack Sinead Mckenna and Josephine Maguire. While Crosserlough may go into the final as underdogs they have taken the scalps of Derrytresk, Tyrone in the quarter-final, which was played in Kilnaleck and Derrynoose from Armagh in the semi-final. The club are expecting a large support from Kilnaleck and its environs on Sunday and hope to bring the curtain down on a magnificent season in style.
