County board convention in kilmore tomorrow

Paul Fitzpatrick

The annual Cavan GAA convention takes place tomorrow (Thursday) in the Hotel Kilmore, with registration beginning at 6.30pm and the convention itself to throw in at 7pm.

With Tom O’Reilly and Declan Woods having completed their five-year terms as chairman and PRO respectively, there will be changes at the top table.
Gerry Brady from Gowna is running unopposed for the chair, meaning his current vice-chairman’s position has been vacated. In the running for it are Tommy McGibney (Cornafean) and Paddy Sheanon (Killygarry).
There are three candidates for the position of PRO, namely Elaine Cully (Arva), Colleen McCabe (Kingscourt) and Mark O’Rourke (Ballyhaise).
