Down manager slams cavans tactics

Newly-installed Down manager Jim McCorry has criticised Cavan’s tactics last Sunday in the opening match of the Dr McKenna Cup.
“Against Cavan we came up against a sweeper and a double-sweeper at times while we instead wanted to play open football,” McCorry told The Belfast Telegraph.
“I think it would be terrible for gaelic football if this is the way it is to be.”
Cavan scored 2-11 over the 70 minutes while Down at times played with 13 men inside their own 45-metre line.

Has Jim McCorry a point or is it just sour grapes?
