A late goal from full-forward David Givney salvaged a draw for Cavan in this dramatic Ulster SFC semi-final before 19,500 fans in Clones.

Cavan got off to a brilliant start, Givney finding the net after great approach play from Martin Reilly, but Tyrone dominated for a long spell in the first half.

Then, just before half-time, a Ray Galligan free was deflected to the net by Conor Moynagh to give Cavan a slender 2-3 to 0-8 lead at the break.

Cavan played some sparkling stuff at times in the second half with excellent points from Niall Murray and Dara McVeety but Tyrone were on top until Givney pounced at the death to force the replay, Cian Mackey and sub Ciaran Brady creating the chance.

Cavan were held scoreless for two 22-minute spells but hung in there and will take heart from the manner of their comeback.
