Co Cavan RFC, with a new first team coach and hueg numbers playing at adult and juvenile levels, is brimming with excitment as the new season approaches.

The latest successful event to be staged at Swellan Park was a 'fun day', which was held last Saturday and drew an excellent crowd over the day.

The event included variious activities for children including slides, bouncing castles, and even a 'bucking bronco' while the undoubted highlight was the presence of the Grand Slam and Six Nations championship trophies, which were on display over the course of the day.

The trophies were available for photographs to the deligth of the large attendance.

"We were delighted with how the event turned out," stated Co Cavan RFC PRO Dara Brady this week.

Next up for the Co Cavan senior men's squad will be a friendly match against Sligo RFC at Swellan Park, a game which new coach, Tongan former AIL player Tumaile Tasola, says will be a trial match as he finalises plans for the competitive start to the new season.
