Council seeks meeting with Minister as atrocious October causes slurry crisis

Cavan County Council are seeking an urgent meeting with the Ministers for Environment and Agriculture to press home the crisis slurry storage situation in the county caused by farmers not being permitted to spread on their lands in these winter months. It was pointed out that Cavan farmers were unable to avail of the end of October slurry spreading extension because of the atrocious daily rainfall over the period in question.
