Cillian Sheridan remains without a club

Sheridan without a club

Bailieborough soccer star Cillian Sheridan is still unattached to any club, with the new season already underway, writes PAUL FITZPATRICK. The former Cavan and Bailieborough Shamrocks underage Gaelic footballer left Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia by mutual consent at the end of last month, with the club's financial problems believed to be one of the factors in the decision. Since then, despite interest from clubs such as Hearts, Sheridan hasn't been snapped up and the three-times capped 23-year-old - who had a successful loan stint at St Johnstone last season - remains a free agent. Sheridan, who developed a cult following on twitter for his witty posts, was inactive on the site from August 31 until last night, when he mysteriously tweeted "Hiatus".
