Cavan passengers to be interviewed over fatal crash

Cavan passengers endured a shocking experience when the bus they were on was involved in a fatal collision just outside of Navan on Monday (October 29). Around 50 people are thought to be have been on the bus involved in the fatal road traffic accident in which a 32-year-old female driver died. The crash, which took place at Malone's garage on the N3, outside Navan on the Kells Road, happened at around 6.10pm and saw several fire units and ambulances attend to 10 injured passengers, the fatally-injured female driver from Co Meath, and what is thought to be her three-year-old niece, who was in the back of the her car. The woman was later pronounced dead but the passengers, the driver of the bus and the child have been discharged from Drogheda's Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Gardai carried out an investigation of the scene and closed the area, which saw the bus collide with cars at the dealership.
