Who will follow Mary Lawlor's footsteps and become 2013 Anglo-Celt Rehab Person of the Year?

Voting open for People of the Year awards

The Anglo-Celt Rehab 'People of the Year' awards will take place in the Kilmore Hotel at a gala ball and banquet on Thursday, March 21 and you are now invited to get voting. This is the 30th year of the awards, which leaves them the oldest in Ireland, apart from Donegal. MC on the night will be Damien O'Reilly from RTE. The nominations in the various categories are printed in The Anglo-Celt this week and you are now urged to vote for one person/group in each category. You must include your own name and address and contact details in order for the vote to be valid. Deadline for receipt of votes is Friday, February 28 at 5pm. Online voting will be available from next Wednesday for one week only. Please note that there are two separate votes this year - one for the 2012 awards and a second for the 'Person of the Decades', which is to be chosen from all the previous winners. John McGuire, Director of Fundraising, Rehab, said: "Rehab is incredibly proud of their place in the county's heart over the years and it's a real privilege to share in the stories and achievements of the winners. "I would urge everyone to get voting now for this year's awards, including this year's special new award of Overall Person of the Decades, and we are very much looking forward to what promises to be yet another memorable awards night in the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan."
