A member of Squeeze is amongst the guests lined up for a three-day free festival promising an eclectic mix of theatre, craic agus ceol in a Cavan Town bar this weekend.
Chris Difford of Squeeze fame, who penned many hits like 'Up the Junction' and 'Cool for Cats' along with Glenn Tilbrook, is the biggest name on the bill for the inaugural Blessfest in Blessings Bar, which kicks off this evening.

Of course Difford is no stranger to Cavan having played the Café Sessions last year. He has also produced singles for world beaters The Strypes. Difford is set to take to the outdoor stage on Saturday night.
However the fun kicks off this evening and all three days boast impressive line-ups. Amongst the highlights is a brand new theatre piece from Gonzo front man Philip Doherty, the author of 'Fleadh Town', 'The Devil's Ceili' and 'The Begrudgers.'

'This is guaranteed to be a serious weekend of entertainment and merriment!' promises Blessfest driving force Paula McQuillan.
