Cllr Reynolds is from Ballinamore but now lives in Carrick on Shannon. He was previously a member of the Dáil and Seanad from 1987 to 2002.

“I have a determination to return to elective politics and to play my part in helping Fine Gael in Government to continue to build a New Ireland. I want to live in a country that encourages business, and where work is rewarded. I want our young people to have an education system that is fit for purpose and responsive to our rapidly changing world. I want to know that age is respected in our New Ireland and I want to be sure that the sick and the marginalised are treated with fairness and equality.
