Bailieborough cast squaring up to ‘The Shape’

Bailieborough Drama Group have been busy rehearsing their new one act play 'The Shape' by Tara Lovett for the last few months, in preparation for the One Act Festival Circuit. This serious piece of drama is well worth going along to see and you can "expect the unexpected" to unfold on stage.
Directed by Conor Sheridan, assistant director Liz O'Hanlon, the talented cast include Liam Daly, Fiona Clarke, Fergal Donnelly and stage manager, Mary McDonagh. Local audiences can catch them perform this first-time play in Ramor Theatre, Virginia on this Thursday, October 31 and then on Saturday, November 2 in Maudabawn. They will be joined by Cornmill Theatre group with 'The Aftermath' by Alice Lynch, directed by Ronan Ward.
Tickets are available from the Ramor Theatre and we all wish them, the best of luck on the festival circuit.
Liz O'Hanlon, winner of a Best Actress award last year told the Celt that they are delighted to have enticed all Ireland Confined winner, Liam Daly of Mullagh to come on board for this production.
Liz says the play features a man reflecting back on an incident in previous years and whether redemption will be forthcoming for him.
A TV Licence Inspector calls and he sees this lady as an angel and this of course is not an everyday occurance in life.
Bailieborough Drama Group kicked off their run in the festival circuit in Naas and they are looking forward to putting on what they term as a 'home show' in the Ramor Theatre on this Thursday night.
Liz O'Hanlon revealed that they will be participating in a total of six drama festivals right through until the last week in November.
“We are entering the drama festival circuit run happy with our rehearsals and you have to perform away from home to see where the production is at – to ascertain what you have – it is like life. The competition is tough but that is healthy,” she says.

Catch Bailiborough Drama Group perform The Shape in Ramor Theatre, this Thursday, October 31,  and Maudabawn on Saturday, November 2 at at 8pm each night.
