WEATHER: Cold start to the day but it's going to be a good one!

It's a cool and bright start to the day this morning. Any frost will quickly clear, then we can expect dry and sunny weather for the rest of the day. The latest forecast from Met Éireann predicts sunshine will be a little hazy at times, with some high cloud. Winds light southeast or variable. Highs of 11 to 13 degrees.
For those with hayfever, be warned, the pollen forecast is high today and today.
The national weather forecaster says tonight will be dry and cold with long clear spells. Lows of -1 to +2 degrees. Mist and fog patches will form in near calm conditions, with fog becoming dense in places.
The outlook for tomorrow (Wednesday) is another dry and mostly sunny day. Mist and fog will clear through the morning, lingering for a time in the west and north, especially near coasts. Plenty of sunshine on Wednesday, and feeling a little milder with highs generally 13 to 15 degrees.
Looking ahead, Thursday is expected to start off dry and bright, with a little more cloud than previous days but long sunny spells also. Highs of 14 to 17 degrees, mildest in the midlands and west.
It won't be as cold as previous nights with lows of 5 to 8 degrees, coolest in the north where skies will be clearest.

The forecast for Friday says many areas will be dry with a mix of cloud and sunny spells, the best of the sunshine in the north. Maximum temperatures 13 to 17 degrees. Outbreaks of rain will gradually edge northwards later Friday and Friday night, however it will hold mostly dry over Ulster. Lows of 3 to 5 degrees in the north, 6 to 8 degrees in the south.

Looking ahead to the weekend, and it's looking cloudy over much of the country with patchy outbreaks of rain at times. Holding mostly dry in the north and west with some hazy sunshine at times. Cooler than previous days with highs of 11 to 15 degrees.
