Last day of Chef's luxury local wedding comp

In the first day of opening, the competition had already raised more than €10,000.

It is now the final day for Frontline healthcare workers looking to get hitched to whave a chance at winning an all-inclusive luxury wedding package at the celebrated Virginia Park Lodge.

Cavan hotel owner and award-winning restaurateur Richard Corrigan launched the chance to win a wedding of up to 160 guests, worth an estimated €90,000 with the goal to raise as much money as possible for the Society of St Vincent de Paul’s emergency fundraising appeal.

In the first day of opening, the competition had already raised more than €10,000.

#CorrigansVowToTheFrontline initiative in aid of St Vincent de Paul Irelands close to applications tonight, Tuesday, July 28 at 9pm.

Each entry, or nomination of someone eligible, must be accompanied by a €10 donation to the Society of St Vincent de Paul’s emergency fundraising appeal, and blushing brides and giddy grooms can enter as many times as they like.

In total, five entries will be shortlisted at random with the National President of St Vincent de Paul selecting the winner.

Internationally renowned wedding specialist Collette O’Leary of Elegant Events has even offered her services; while Richard himself will work closely with the winning couple to design a bespoke menu for their big day.

The ultimate package is complete with wine by Le Caveau; make-up by award-winning Michele Field and Paula Callan; hair by celebrity stylist Norma Jean; cake by Cove Cake Design; flowers by Joeanna Caffrey; invites and stationary by Appleberry Press; and photography by Dasha Caffrey.
