Michael Brown

Beherna, Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred peacefully of Michael Brown, Via Longa, Virginia, Co. Cavan (formerly Johnson and Johnson and more recently volunteer worker with JADD Project), peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on 13 January 2021. Predeceased by his wife Helen. Deeply regretted by his daughter Andrea, his son Graham, son in law Les, Graham's partner Alexis, grandchildren Roisin, Siobhan, Aisling, Cormac, Jessica and Robert, great grandchildren Maeve and Fíadh, and Karin, mother of Jessica, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains leaving his residence arriving at St. Matthew’s Church, Maghera for 2 o'clock Funeral Mass for family on Saturday with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

In compliance with current Covid 19 guidelines, Michael's Funeral Mass will be restricted to 10 family members only. Friends and neighbours are invited to form a guard of honour, if they so wish to, along the route of the funeral cortege from Behernagh to St. Matthew’s Church, as a mark of respect, while observing social distancing.

The death has occurred peacefully of P.J. King, Forest Park, Virginia, Co. Cavan peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on January 13, 2021. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, cousins, his good friend Peter, neighbours and friends.

Remains leaving Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia on Friday to arrive at Mary Immaculate Church, Virginia for 12 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in St. Bartholomew's Cemetery, Munterconnaught.

In compliance with current Covid 19 guidelines, P.J's Funeral Mass will be restricted to 10 only. PJ's friends and neighbours are invited to form a guard of honour, if they so wish to, along the route of the funeral cortege from Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia to St. Marys and onward to St. Bartholemew's Cemetery, Munterconnaught, as a mark of respect.

Mary Anne O'Reilly (née Brady)

Port, Bawnboy, Cavan

Mary Anne O'Reilly(nee Brady), Port, Bawnboy, Co. Cavan. January 13th 2021 peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Sean, grandson Sean, brothers P. Joe & Terry; sadly missed by her loving family Maureen, Margaret, Bernard, Joseph, Teresa & Pauline, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours & a large circle of friends.

Due to government & HSE restrictions Mary Anne's Funeral Mass will be strictly private in the presence of her family. For those who would like to pay their respects, the funeral cortege will arrive in Ballyconnell on Friday at 1:30pm and will take the following route. Kilnavart, Templeport Community Centre, Port, arriving at St Mogue's Church, Bawnboy at 2 o'clock for Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mary Agnes Scanlan

Ballyconnell, Cavan

Mary Agnes Scanlan, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, January 13th, 2021 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Oak View Nursing Home, Belturbet. Beloved wife of the late John, much loved and cherished mother of Brian, Evan, Neal and Derry. Sadly missed by her sister Eileen, brothers Standish and Eamonn, daughters-in-law Birthe, Mary, Fiona and Denise, adored grandchildren John, Emma, Brian, Isaac, Barry, Jasmine, and by her extended family, neighbours and many friends. Predeceased by her brothers Brian and Leo.

The death has occurred of Mary Burns (née McConnell), Drumlurg, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross. 13th January 2021. Peacefully, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her family, her husband Joe, her daughters Yvonne & Sharon, her sons Anthony & Joey, Yvonne's partner Lee, her daughters-in-law Dearbhla & Catherine, her adored grandchildren Sarah, Aoife, Conor & Molly, her sisters Ann (UK), Sheila & Teresa (UK), her brothers Frank, John (UK) & Tom, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

To keep each other safe it is important that we follow government and HSE guidelines, adhere to social distancing, wear face coverings and refrain from hand shaking and hugging.

Teresa Carton (née Hand)

Towneena, Rahins, Glenisland, Castlebar, Mayo / Inniskeen, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Teresa Carton (nee Hand), Towneena, Rahins, Glenisland, Castlebar and formerly of Aughrimore, Inniskeen, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Hand. Teresa will be sadly missed by her loving family : Patrick (Achill), Maria Sheridan (Chicago), Sinead Ryan (Nenagh, Co. Tipperary), John and Tom (Brisbane, Queensland, Australia), grandchildren Jack, Aisling, James, Emily, Liam, Finn and Niamh, sons-in-law Peter Sheridan and Liam Ryan, daughter-in-law Siobhan O'Sullivan and all the family circle, relatives and friends.

Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Deeply regretted by his daughters Alice Ward (Australia), Margaret Duffy (Broomfield), his sons Paddy and Martin, his sons-in-law Hughie and John, his granddaughters, Erin, Shannon and Caoimhe.

Margaret Hanlon (nee Connolly), Castletaylor, Ardrahan, Co. Galway, and formerly Monaghan Town.

In loving memory of Margaret who left us all in tears on 13th January 2021.

The death has occurred of Donal McQuillan. Ardee Road, Carrickmacross, formerly McQuillan's Garage, Carrickmacross. 13th January 2021. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, following a short illness, having been wonderfully cared for at St. Mary's Nursing Home, Castleblayney. Predeceased by his wife Irene and his sisters Regina and Deirdre. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his beloved family, his sons Niall, Rory, Connor & Donnogh, his daughters Eimer & Dearbhail, his son-in-law des and daughters-in-law Briege, Julie & Catriona, Eimers partner Finbar and Connors partner Justyna, his grandchildren Shane, Ciara, Cahal, Aoife, Molly, Orla, Niamh, Tara, Fintan, Lily Marie, Leah, Clara, Sarah, Keeva, ,Eva, Fergal & Darragh, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.
