Michael Eugene (also known as Mike & Mick) Lynch

Newport Road, Castlebar, Mayo / Cootehill, Cavan

The death has occurred Michael Eugene Lynch ( also known as Mike and Mick), Newport Road, Castlebar and formerly of Knocknalossett, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and Birmingham and London, peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Thresa nee Armstrong (Ballina) his parents Francis and Mary Lynch, his sister Marie McNamara (Wimbleton, UK) and Elizabeth (Betty) Hutson (Croydon London).

He will be sadly missed by his sisters Kathleen Attracta McLaughlin (Derry) Margaret Hoole (Sheffield UK), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and many friends.

May he rest in peace.

Removal from the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Thursday morning 14th January at 11am to the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30am. Michael will be laid to rest after Mass with his beloved Thresa in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

Nuala MARTIN (née Dennany)

Dublin / Arva, Cavan

MARTIN, Nuala - January 10th 2021 - (nee Dennany) (Formerly of Dublin and Arva, Co. Cavan) passed away peacefully at the Mater Private Hospital in the company of her heartbroken daughter Maev and beloved niece Joyce and with the support and care of the wonderful doctors, nurses and carers in the Mater Private Hospital. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Colm, son and daughter, Niall and Maev, daughter-in-law Eimear, grandson Gus, sister Mildred,sister-in-law Mary Dennany, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

May She Rest in Peace.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings. When current circumstances have passed we look forward to celebrating Nuala’s life with friends and extended family.

Loretto Mc Caffrey

Cootehill Road, Shercock, Cavan

And late of Lisnadara, Shercock. In her 104th year. Peacefully at her nephew (Seamus's) residence at Rebawn, Killan, Shercock.

Predeceased by her brothers PJ and Charlie, her nephews Gerry (Ireland) and Gerard (England). She will be sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews in both Ireland and England.

Peggy McInerney (née Smith)

Coolkill, Kilnaleck, Cavan

Peggy McInerney Coolkill Kilnaleck Co. Cavan. Tuesday, 12th January 2021 (peacefully) at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Eugene and her daughter Eithne.

Deeply regretted by her sons Stephen and Owen, granddaughters Maria and Diane, brothers Tom, Philip and Michael, sisters Anne, Kathleen and Bridgie, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral cortege will leave Briody's Funeral Home on Wednesday at 12.30pm via Peggy's home to St Mary's Church, Ballinarry, for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to current restrictions Peggy's funeral Mass will be limited to family only. For those who wish to line the route please feel free to do so adhering to social distancing guidelines currently in place. Anna Comer (née Greenan)

Wolverhampton England and formerly Swellan Lower, Cavan Town, Cavan

Anna Comer (nee Greenan) Wolverhampton, England and formerly Swellan Lower, Cavan Town. Sunday January 10th 2021 peacefully, after a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Anna was daughter of the late Mary and Eugene (Gene) Greenan, Swellan Lower, Cavan, and sister of the late Eugene, Cavan Town and Paddy, Belturbet.

Anna will be very sadly missed by her husband and best friend Bill, her daughter Lorna, her adored grandchildren James, Hannah and Lucy and her 2 great grandchildren, sisters Mary (Wheaton Aston., England) , Margaret, (Swellan Lower, Cavan) and Breege McKeown, (Swellan Lower, Cavan), sister in law June, brother in law Brian, nieces, nephews, all her relatives and many friends.

Due to current restrictions, Anna’s funeral will take place privately with her family in England.

Daughter of the late John and Margaret, Predeceased by her dear Husband Eugene and her beloved brothers, Tom, (Dundalk), Pat, (Virginia), niece, Catherine Sheanon and sister in law Anna. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving children, Una, John, Eugene, Liz and Tom. The death has occurred of Eamon Byrne, 9 Cuchulainn Terrace, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at the Mater Hospital, Dublin Tuesday 12th January 2021. Predeceased by his wife Sadie and daughter Ita, brother Sean, sister Maureen and sister-in-law Sheila. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his family, Geraldine, Eddie, Veronica, Jean and John (Arizona), sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers Paddy and Oliver (Birmingham), sister Ita Kearns (Crossmolina), sisters-in-law Kathleen Byrne and Betty Byrne, his kind carer Bernie Brady, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and in respect of Government Guidelines for Level 5, there will be no public wake as Eamon’s funeral and burial will be celebrated privately by his family (limited to 10).

There will be an opportunity for neighbours and friends to pay their respects as Eamon’s funeral cortège leaves his late residence on Thursday morning to arrive for Requiem Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Mary Lynch (née Dunlop)

17 Belgium Square, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mary Lynch (nee Dunlop), 17 Belgium Square, Monaghan. Tuesday 12th January, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her twin sister Lily Taggart and brother Tony Dunlop, Dungannon.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her husband Anthony, daughters Jean (Malachy), Marie, Eileen (Willie), Patricia (Austin) and sons John (Amanda) & Anthony (Priscilla), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Jean McGlinchey, brother-in-law Edmund McGlinchey, sister-in-law Ann Dunlop, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Raymond McCoy

Aghagaw, Smithborough, Monaghan

Peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, 12th January 2021. Pre-deceased by his father Stuart. Raymond will be dearly missed by his mother Rachel, brothers Norman, David, Noel, Ken and Nigel, sisters Claire and Wendy, nieces, nephews, extended family, his wonderful neighbours and many friends.

Raymond's funeral cortége will leave from his home, on Thursday, 14th January, at 1.15pm, for funeral service in St. Dympna's Parish Church of Ireland, Ballinode, at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Due to the current restrictions the funeral service will be private to family only (10 people). The death has occurred of Owen McMeel (Pat Jack), Luton and formerly of Corrarybeg, Carrickroe, Co. Monaghan. Thursday, 24th December, in Luton, surrounded by his 3 sons. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, brothers John, James & Pat and sister Mary.

Lovingly remembered by his 3 sons, Damien, Louie & Raphel, brother George, sisters Cassie, Rose, Peggy, Annie & Bridget, grandchildren, extended family and friends.

Owen's Funeral Mass will take place at The Holy Family Church, Luton Wednesday, 13th January, at 1pm.

Owen Tavey

Crover, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Owen Tavey, Crover, Broomfield, Co. Monaghan, Sunday, 10th January 2021, at home, in the loving care of his devoted family. Predeceased by his sister Bridget, brothers John, Paddy and Vincent. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by his wife Margaret, sons Raymond and Finbarr, daughters Yvonne and Dearbhla, grandchildren, brothers Peter (Newry), Thomas (Dublin) and Eamon (Castleblayney) daughter in-law Maria, son’s in-law Paddy and Anthony, brother's in-law, sister’s in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends.

Owen will repose among his family at his home until removal on Wednesday morning at 11:30 am, arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Broomfield for requiem Mass at 12 noon with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
