Ardmone, Canningstown, Cootehill, Cavan

Sean Clarke, Ardmone, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co.Cavan. Died 20th February 2021, tragically following an accident. Predeceased by his brothers Paddy, Hugh and Brian, sisters Susan and Margie.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Ann, devoted father of Alison and Martin, son-in-law Colm, Martin's fiancee Catherine. His adored Grandchildren Emily, James and Joshua. Sister Kitty Cody, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Fr James (Jimmie) Dowd

Ardamagh, Ballyhaise, Cavan / Redhills, Cavan

The death has occurred of Fr. James (Jimmie) Dowd, Ardamagh, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan and Oregon USA.

Dowd Fr James (Jimmie), Oregon USA and late of Ardamagh, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, died peacefully in Pete Moore Hospice House, Eugene, Oregon on Wednesday, February 3rd 2021. Fr James was a parish priest and administered throughout Oregon state since 1956.

Predeceased by his brothers Paul and Paddy. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his Sister-in-law Margaret (Maddie) (Ballyhaise Co. Cavan), nephews and nieces Kathleen, Seamus, Margaret, Paul, Mary, Bernadette, Rose, Pat, Oliver, Helena and Susan, his cousins, grand nieces and grand nephews, Margaret and Ellen (USA), relatives, fellow clergy and all his close friends in the USA and Ireland.

“His life touched so many others and will be remembered forever more”.

Requiescat In Pace.

Removal at 5.00pm tomorrow Monday from Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, to St. Brigid's Church, Killoughter Redhills, via the family home, to arrive at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 3.00pm, Interment afterwards in Cullies Cemetery, Cavan.

Frank Mohan

Aughnameal, Clontibret, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Frank Mohan, Aughnameal, Clontibret, Co. Monaghan, Sunday, February 21st peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son Séan, parents Peter and Bridie, brother Peader, parents in-law Elizabeth and Pat Joe Mc Nulty. Frank, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his wife Betty, sons and daughters, Peader, Conor, Amanda, Stephen, Sinéad, Catherine, Micheal and Claudia, grand-daughter Chantelle, sister Margaret, brothers Patsy and Philip, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Frank’s funeral cortège will travel from his home on Thursday morning at 10:15am proceeding on foot, accompanied by a lone piper to Kilcrow, then driving to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Clontibret, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, Frank’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family (limited to 10) and house strictly private, please.

Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.
