It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Mary (Minnie) Cooney (née Mc Gee)

Waterloo, Bailieborough, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Cooney, Waterloo, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, peacefully at her residence on March 31st, in her 92nd year, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband John.

Much loved mother of Mary, Breda, Rosie, Paudie, Carmel, John, Michael and Paul.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons and daughters, her brother John Magee, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, good neighbours and friends.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at her residence until Easter Sunday , with removal to St. Mary's Church, Clanaphilip, for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private Funeral Mass will take place. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route of the funeral cortege, in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.

Margaret Moore (née Waller)

Cornaman, Kingscourt, Cavan

Margaret Moore nee Waller Cornaman , Kingscourt, Co Cavan Died 31st March peacefully at her residence following a short illness surrounded by her loving family. Pre deceased by her loving husband Brendan , parents Joe & Sara ( Daisy ) Waller . Brothers John and Joe . Deeply regretted by her daughters Patricia Mc Guirk , Teresa Reilly , Sons Brian , Barry and Colin. Sons in law Martin and Michael. Daughters in law Bernadette, Mary and Nicola. Grandchildren Kerrie, Donna , Enda , Aidan , Jane , Aoife , Lian and Alannah. Sisters Helen , Violet and Ivy , brothers Russell , Leslie and Robert . Kathleen Gumley (née Mc Nerney)

Castlepoles, Arva, Cavan

Kathleen Gumley (nee Mc Nerney), Castlepoles, Arva, Co. Cavan, Tuesday, March 30th 2021, suddenly at her home. Predeceased by her husband Patsy, her son Pádraig, parents Phil & Bridgie & her brother Leo. Sadly missed by her loving family, son Declan, daughter-in-law Olive, her adored grandchildren Shannon & Oisin, brothers John, Colm, Turlough, Christopher & Philip Jnr, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, all her relations, neighbours and many friends.

May she Rest In Peace.

Due to current HSE & government restrictions, Kathleen's Funeral & burial will be private to family only. Those who would like to do so are asked to post their messages to the family in the condolences section at the bottom of this page. Kathleen's Funeral cortege will leave the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd., Cavan on Good Friday morning at 10.15 am, travelling via Ballinagh & Corlismore to the Sacred Heart Church, Arva, arriving for a private prayer service at 11 o'clock. Burial will take place afterwards in Coronea Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to pay their respects to Kathleen by standing along the route are asked to observe social distancing guidelines. Mary McCarney (née Campbell)

Ballybay, Monaghan / Clara, Monaghan / Fintona, Tyrone

McCarney Mary, Fintona (nee Campbell) formerly of Horse Park - 76 Corkill Road, Eskra, Omagh, BT78 1UY died peacefully at home on Wednesday 31st March 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Patsy (PJ). Treasured mother to Marie (Kevin), Paddy (Frances), Barry (Tracy), Nuala, Martin (Margie), Dermot (Brenda), Terry (Martina) and Noel (Erin). Cherished sister to Joe, Annie (McGee) and Phyllis (McGuigan) and the late Packie, Cissie, Francie, Jim, Michael, John, Bridie and Ellen. Devoted grandmother to her 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

House is strictly private – immediate family only. In light of COVID 19 the funeral will be limited to 25 persons. The Service of The Word may be viewed at 11am on Friday, 2nd April, via Donacavey Parish webcam. Family Flowers only please and donations kindly accepted for Marie Curie and Care for Cancer c/o McAtee Funeral Directors. A Full Funeral Mass for family and friends will be held at a later date.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughters, sons, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sisters, nephews, nieces and entire family circle.
