Enterprise Fund eyes up Cootehill investment

Cavan County Enterprise Fund is looking to construct a new office/workspace complex in Cootehill.

Plans for the development were lodged with Cavan County Council earlier this month and seek permission for the demolition of an existing dwelling house at the Cootehill Technology Park, Station Road, Drumaveil North to facilitate the development.

In its place, the County Enterprise Fund, which was established in 1998 with financial support from the International Fund for Ireland (IFI) to help micro-finance economic development, intends to build the new two-storey lettable office/workspace unit, together with ancillary communal spaces.

External works include carparking, bin stores, pathways, landscaping, connection to public services, and the installation of below ground services to service future development sites and all associated site works.

The Cavan County Enterprise Fund already supports a number of small enterprises in flexible workspaces at the Cavan Enterprise Centre at Killygarry, Cavan Town; the Cootehill Enterprise Centre on Station Road; at the Blacklion Enterprise Centre; and in Killeshandra.
