It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

ANN FOX (née Cahill)

Elsinore Rise, Midleton, Cork / Virginia, Cavan

The death has occurred peacefully at Cork University Hospital Cork of Ann Fox (née Cahill), Elsinore Rise, Midleton, formerly of Edenburt Virginia, Co. Cavan following a brief illness in the presence of her daughter and son, Mary and Pat. Predeceased by her loving husband Pat, and her brothers Phil and Will and sisters Nell, Betty and Rose. Deeply missed by her adored grandchildren, Oisín, Éabha, Cormac, Killian, Hannah and Eliza, her son in law Wayne, her daughter in law Clare, her brothers and sisters Jim, Bartle, Di and Peggy, her brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours in Elsinore.

Ann's family would like to thank the paramedics who attended to Ann and the wonderful staff in ward 4 D C.U.H. for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Ann.

In accordance to continuing Covid guidelines, Ann's house is private.

Ann will leave her home on Saturday May 29th at 10am en route to the Private Requiem Mass and burial. Mass will be live streamed on http://midletonparish.ie/ and on the Parish Saorview channel at 11am.

Elizabeth Mulligan (née McGuire)

Derrinlester, Cavan / Longford Town, Longford

The Death has occurred of Elizabeth Mulligan (née McGuire), late of Derrinlester, County Cavan, Sudbury Town, Wembley and Midara Gardens, Longford. Died 27th May, 2021 peacefully at the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Fred, parents Elizabeth and John, sisters Mary Alice, Margaret and Agnes and her brother Johnny. Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews-in-law, relatives, friends and all those who cared for her in the Manor Nursing Home, Edgeworthstown.

May Elizabeth’s Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

While adhering to the Government and HSE advice regarding public gatherings, Elizabeth’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11am, this Saturday 29th May, in the Manor Nursing Home Edgeworthstown Privately for family and close friends. Burial afterwards in Ballymacormack Cemetery, Longford.

The Family very much appreciate your support and consideration at this time.

Bernie Noone (née McGivney)

Drumhalla, Tullyco, Cootehill, Cavan / Abbeylara, Longford

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Jim, and loving mother of Sarah Smyth (Navan), and James (Abu Dhabi), sadly missed by her son-in-law Larry, daughter-in-law Lorraine, brothers Michael and Ciaran, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and work colleagues.

Rest in Peace.

Removal from her home on Saturday to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Laragh for Funeral Mass at 11.30am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Due to current restrictions Bernie's Funeral Mass will be limited to 50 people. The Mass will be streamed live on www.churchtv.ie/laragh

Bernard (Benny) O'Reilly

Drumrooske, Killeshandra, Cavan

Bernard (Benny) O'Reilly, 27th May 2021, Drumrooske, Killeshandra, County Cavan, suddenly at home. Predeceased by his siblings Michael, Packie Joe, James, Maura, Phil, Stephen and Ann. Very deeply regretted by his brothers and sisters, Tommy, Kathleen, John, Margaret and Eddie; nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lawlor’s Funeral Home, Belturbet, on Friday, 28th May, from 6pm – 7pm for family, neighbours and close friends. Removal on Saturday at 11.30am to St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Due to current Government and HSE guidelines, numbers at Benny's Funeral Mass remain limited to 50 people and therefore restricted to family and close friends only. The Mass can be viewed live online at Church.ie/Killeshandra. For those standing along the route, please adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Matthew (Mattie) O'Reilly

Bailieborough Road, Mullaghland, Mullagh, Cavan

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, in the exceptional care of the nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Private Nursing Home, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Beloved husband of the late Mary Jo (nee Carolan), and predeceased by his cherished sisters Beatrice and Helen. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving sons, Barry, Fergus and Martin and their partners, Emilion, Mai-Ly and Siobhan, his adored grandchildren, Julie, Eoghan, Lou-Lou and Naoise, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May Mattie Rest In Eternal Peace.

Reposing at The Village Chapel Of Rest, Mullagh, today Friday, for family and friends from 5pm to 7pm,(adhering to strict social distancing guidelines). Removal from Mattie's home on Saturday morning at 11am to arrive for Requiem Funeral Mass in St. Kilian's Church, Mullagh at 11.30am, (maximum of 50 can attend) followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

HOUSE STRICTLY PRIVATE PLEASE.

The death has occurred of Julie Robinson (nee Becke), 2 Cornadarragh, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly South Shields, England. Suddenly at her residence. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by Liam, Marion, Cian and godchild Pema, family, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Remains will leave Lawlor's Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet, this Sunday morning 30th May at 11.30am to arrive at Lakelands Crematorium for cremation at 12 noon. The ceremony can be viewed online at lakelandscrematorium.ie click on livestream and enter password Lakelandsfuneral 2021

The death has occurred of Joe Rooney, 12 Gleann Clarach, Killybrone, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan, Wednesday, 26th May.

Joe will be sadly missed by all his neighbours & friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Joe's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale on Friday from 6pm to 8pm (please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times). Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am at St.Patrick's Church, Clara. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Mourners are welcome to pay their respects as Joe's funeral cortège travels from McMahon's Funeral Home to the church on Saturday morning (please adhere to social distancing guidelines).
