Paddy Corr

Clonmahon Place, Ballinagh, Cavan

Paddy passed away on 14th August 2021 peacefully at his residence.

Predeceased by his father Philip, and mother Peggy.

Paddy will be sadly missed by his brother Frank, sister-in-law Ann, nephew Philip, niece Caroline and a large circle of relatives, neighbours and friends.

May He Rest in Peace.

Kilnalun, Kingscourt, Meath / Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Hanratty née Carry, Kilnalun, Kingscourt, Co. Meath, peacefully at her home & surrounded by family, 14th August 2021.

Predeceased by husband P.J. and her sisters Peggy and Anne.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Kathleen, Philomena and Geraldine, sons Peter, Kevin, Thomas and Martin, brothers Paddy and Thomas, sisters Kathleen, Rosie, Sheila and Bridie. Sadly missed by her sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters, in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings, a private funeral Mass will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Mary’s Funeral Mass will be available to view online at 10am on Monday morning, 16th August, on the following link:

Mary's funeral cortège will begin from her home on Sunday evening, travelling via Church Street and Hall Street, Kingscourt to the Church of the Immaculate Conception from 6.30 pm.

Tom Lyons (Snr)

Tomkin Road, Belturbet, Cavan, H14 X83

Tom Lyons Snr (Tomkin Road, Belturbet, The Molly Maguires Pub, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan and Thomas St, Dublin), 14th August 2021 Peacefully in his 100th year.

Beloved husband of the late Maura and dear father of Rory, Noirín, Toirbhealach, Tom and the late Brian. Tom will be sadly missed by his brothers Leo, Sean and Paddy, Michelle, John, Siobhán, Vivien, Dympna and Patricia and all the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anan dílis.

Tom will repose at his residence, Tomkin Rd, Belturbet, on Sunday from 2pm until 8pm for family, neighbours and friends. House private at all other times.

Removal on Monday evening at 5pm, walking through Ballyconnell at 5:30pm, arriving at St Mary's Church, Staghall, Belturbet, at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 10am. Burial afterwards in Deansgrange Cemetery, Dublin.

Due to government & HSE Covid guidelines, Tom's funeral Mass will be limited to 50 people. However the funeral mass can be viewed at Drumlane (Staghall) – ChurchTV.

Seamus Roe

Togher, Bailieborough, Cavan

Seamus Roe, Togher, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 13th of August, 2021, suddenly at home. Predeceased by his parents James and May and sister Ann. Sadly missed by his loving wife Breda, son James, daughters Christine, Elaine, Bernie, Aine and Siobhan, brother Patrick, daughter in law Lisa, Sons in law Damien, Shane, Hughie and Barry, grandchildren, nephew James, niece Mary, Brothers in law , Sisters in law and extended family and friends.

Kathleen Kennedy, née O'Mahony, 3 Church Avenue, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Main Street, Cashel, Co.Tipperary and Battersea, London, Saturday, August 14th, peacefully, at Monaghan Hospital. Predeceased by her husband John Kennedy (Birr); brothers Padraig, Eamonn, Joe and sisters Alice and Margaret.

Kathleen, deeply regretted by her brother Denis O'Mahony, Australia, Máire, her niece and carer, Paul, Emma and Daniel, sisters in law Laura O'Mahony and Ailish O'Mahony, nieces Siobhán, Niamh, Denise, Frances and Karen; nephews Donal, Eamonn, Eoin, Cian, Caoimhin, Brendan, John, Fergal, Gavin, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay, on Monday evening, among family and friends from 5pm until 7pm. Kathleen’s Funeral cortège will travel from Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay, on Tuesday morning at 10.30am, proceeding on foot, to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for funeral Mass at 11am followed by private cremation at Garden Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin.

The death has occurred of Martha Jane (Meta) Rountree, née Armstrong, The Glebe, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully at her home in her 98th year, 13th August 2021.Predeceased by her husband Dick. Deeply regretted by daughter Meta, son Archdeacon Richard, son-in-law Lester, daughter-in-law Elizabeth. Sadly missed by her sisters, brother, seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
