It is with regret that we note the deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Morris Allerton

Owengallees, Bawnboy, Cavan / Leitrim

Saturday 18th September, peacefully at his residence. Devoted husband of May and dear father of Sandra, Hazel and Sharon.

Morris will be sadly missed by his wife, daughters, grandchildren Sarah and Max, son-in-law Dino, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Funeral cortege will leave the family home on Monday afternoon at 1.30pm travelling via Templeport, Allerton's Cross, Newtowngore, Killeshandra arriving at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan for Funeral Service at 3pm, followed by cremation.

Neighbours and friends are welcome to line the route in a safe manner. The Allerton family thank you for your cooperation and understanding at this difficult time. House strictly private, please.

Reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, Cootehill, Tuesday evening (September 14th) from 7pm - 9pm.

Removal from Mullen's Funeral Home on Wednesday morning (September 15th), via Rakane road (L2017) to arrive at St.Bridget's Church, Kill for 11am mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Due to current the COVID19 restrictions and regulations the Church is limited to 50% capacity.

Cormeen, Ballinagh Co Cavan.

Who died peacefully at Cavan General Hospital on Friday 17th September 2021 in the loving care of his family and the nurses and staff of Medical 2. Predeceased by his father Tom, mother Bridget and brother Peter. Sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Anne. Deeply regretted and fondly remembered by sister Maureen (Dowd) brothers Sean, Tommie, Andy, and Michael. Sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Finnegan’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan on Sunday evening from 5-30pm. until 8-30pm. Removal from his home on Monday morning to arrive St. Felim’s Church Ballinagh,for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Felim’s new cemetery.

Friends and neighbours are welcome to stand along the route to the Church and cemetery while following Social Distancing Rules.

Patrick (Paddy) Keegan

5 Market Ave., Killeshandra, Cavan / Granard, Longford

Died Friday, September 18th, peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, parents John and Maureen, brothers Michael, Gerry and twin brother Jimmy. Deeply regretted by his loving family, daughter Maureen and her partner Patrick, grandchildren Page Joshua, Adam and Aoife, brothers Francis, Martin, Kevin, Brendan and Willie, sisters Mary, Lena, Bridget, Michelle and Elizabeth, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Monday 20th from 5pm to 8pm, adhering to all social distancing guidelines and Covid 19 regulations. Removal on Tuesday 21st, from Cavan to St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara, Co. Longford, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Funeral cortège will leave Cavan on Tuesday morning at 11.15am, en route to St Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara, via Kilcogy, Springtown and Ballinacross, for anybody who wishes to stand along the route as a mark of respect.

Due to the current H.S.E. and Government Covid-19 guidelines, the church is restricted to 50% capacity.

Killyfargy, Scotshouse, Monaghan

Suddenly at the Mater Hospital, Dublin. Deeply regretted by his brothers, Oliver, P.J. Sean and Paul, his sisters Mary, Kathleen and Noreen, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
