1. Odd Numbers: Blue

Odhran O’Brien AKA beat making supremo Odd Numbers announced his musical arrival with ‘The Golden Éire Tapes Vol. 1’ this summer. Harnessing the lyrical talents of many of the rising stars in the thriving Irish hip hop scene, the stand out track was the album's closing number, Blue. It's a sheer delight. Through sampling the Four Freshmen's 'Blue' Odhran doffs his cap to Mac Miller’s ‘Blue World’ produced by Guy Lawrence of Disclosure, but that's where the similarities end. Odhran retains the barbershop style of the Freshmen's original harmonies, and pairs it with some sunny samples and a skip-along beat. Wallfella's casual delivery of great lyrics - that he reportedly knocked together in just an hour - completes the carefree summer vibe.
