It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Fr Gabriel Maguire C.Ss.R.

Gurteen, Swanlinbar, Cavan

Late of Erdington Abbey, Birmingham. Peacefully in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary and his brother Desmond. Sadly missed by his sister Anne Allen (Athlone) brothers Gerard (Dublin) Ben (Dublin) his brother-in-law Nick, his sisters-in-law Mary and Helen, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and the Redemptorist Community.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE.

Funeral will take place in Erdington Abbey, Birmingham.

Peter Hunt

20 Glenview Drive, Monaghan Town, Monaghan / Carracastle, Mayo

The death has occurred of Peter Hunt, 20 Glenview Drive, Monaghan. Eldest son of the late Denis & Mary Hunt, Brackloon, Carracastle, Co. Mayo and retired Detective Garda Sergeant, Sunday, 6th February, suddenly, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his heartbroken wife, Della, children, Finola (Wayne), Denis, Caroline (Ronan), Emma & Julie (Martin), granddaughter Alannah, brothers Tom, Frank & Gerard and the wider family circle.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

House private to family and friends only please. Peter's Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon at St.Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan; https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-macartans-cathedral-monaghan, (please adhere to mask wearing and social distancing guidelines at all times). Cremation afterwards at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Birdwatch Ireland c/o Peter McMahon, McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.
