It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

John Bruton

Cappog, Ballinode, Monaghan / Kinnegad, Westmeath

Peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his brother Michael. Sadly missed by his loving wife Rita, children Caroline, John, Geraldine(Richard), Derek and Paul (Marie), grandchildren Conor, Joe, Thomas, Nancy, Lee, Jack, Maia, Eve, Annie, Ella, Amy, Tom and Lucas, sisters Clare and Olive, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. R.I.P.

Reposing at his residence on Saturday (05/03/2022) and on Sunday (06/03/2022) from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.

Gertrude Cassley (née Cadden)

Lannaght, Scotstown, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Gertrude Casserly (nee Cadden), Lannaght, Scotstown, Co.Monaghan. Thursday 3rd March peacefully at Mullinahinch Nursing Home, Monaghan.

Predeceased by her brother Gus and sister Verena. Deeply regretted by her husband Jack, sister Claire, nephew Conrad, sisters in law, extended family and friends.

May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Gertrude's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm and Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. House private please. Removal on Monday morning to arrive at St.Mary's Church, Urbleshanney, Scotstown for Funeral Mass at 11am (Streamed live on Tydavnet Parish RC Churches). Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
