Edward Reilly

Corfree, Loch Gowna, Cavan / Longford

Edward Reilly, Corfree, Loch Gowna, Co Cavan. Tragically in The Netherlands.

Beloved son of Martin and Bernadette, dear brother of Aiden (Mina), Michelle (Gary), Pauline (Duncan) and Lisa (Eoin), Treasured uncle of Nathan, Yvonne and Aibhín.

Sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, brother, sisters, nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Teresa Brady, Drumnoose, Milltown, Belturbet, in her 96th year. Peacefully, at College View Nursing Home. Predeceased by her husband Tommy, son Gabriel and granddaughter Charlene. Deeply regretted by her family, sons Terence, TomJoe and Gerard, daughter Marie (Dunboyne), grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Teresa’s remains will be reposing at Lawlor’s, Funeral Home, Ernehill, Belturbet (H14 R583), on Monday evening from 6pm until evening prayers at 8pm. Removal of remains on Tuesday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Milltown, for 11am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in Drumlane Cemetery.

Eadaoin Briody (née Canning)

Coppenagh, Virginia, Cavan

Eadaoin Briody

The death has occurred of Eadaoin Briody, Coppenagh, Virginia, Co. Cavan peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Much loved wife of Ronan and cherished mother of Colm, Tadhg and Emer. Deeply regretted by her husband and her children, her mother and father Tess and Noel, her sisters Sinead, Dearbhla and Caoimhe, her nieces and nephews, relatives and many friends.

A celebration of Eadaoin's life will take place on Sunday at 3 o'clock at Matthews Funeral Home, Bailieborough Road, Virginia. (A82YV58). All are welcome. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Virginia Cancer Care Fund C/o Matthews Funeral Directors.

Delgany, Wicklow / Greystones, Wicklow / Ballyconnell, Cavan

The death has occurred of Eugene McKiernan, of Delgany, formerly of Greystones, Co. Wicklow & Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan.

Passed away peacefully, on Friday the 4th of March 2022, surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his sister Breege. Sadly missed by his loving wife Gemma (née Heneghan) of 53 years, daughters Anne & Dee, sons Peter & John, son in law Declan & daughter in law Adriana, brother Eamonn and Fr. Peter, sisters Milly (McGuinness) Ita (McManus), Sheila, brothers in law, sisters in law, relatives, neighbours and so many good friends from the Greystones / Delgany community, not forgetting his four legged pal Lucy.

The death has occurred of Patrick Goodman, Moneyglen, Broomfield, Castleblayney, Monaghan, Saturday, March 5th, peacefully, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, surrounded by his loving family.

Patrick, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, his wife Mary, his son Michael and Michael’s fiancée Sinead, cherished grandchildren Alex and Bella, cousins Margaret, James, Paddy and Gene Duffy, also Mary and Pat Boylan and extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Patrick will repose at his home on Sunday, 6th March, from 6pm until 9pm and again on Monday from 5pm until 9pm. Removal on Tuesday morning from his residence at 10.30am, arriving at St. Patrick’s Church, Broomfield, for funeral Mass at 11:00am, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Denise Mary Mc Kenna

Brooklyn, New York and late of Modeece, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Denise Mary Mc Kenna, Brooklyn, New York and late of Modeece, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan, Tuesday, March 1st, (tragically) in New York. Denise, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, daughter Liz and son Noel, parents Cherrie (Claire) and Noel, brothers Peter and Gerry, sisters in-law Joan and Geraldine, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends both here in Ireland and New York.

Peacefully.

Beloved husband of the late Tess Mullin née Galligan.

Deeply loved and missed by his daughter Maeve, son in law Roy, grandchildren Aisling, Aoife and Olan, his nieces, nephews, extended family and a wide circle of neighbours and friends.

Thursday, March 3rd 2022, peacefully after a short illness.

Predeceased by his daughter Martina.

George McMeel is deeply regretted by his wife Rose, daughters Patricia (Seán), Denise (Michael) and Son Declan (Brenda) and Grandchildren.

Reposing at his late residence until removal on Monday at 10:15am, to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Carrickroe. Funeral Mass at eleven o’clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Wake is open from two o’clock until eight o’clock, on Saturday, and from two o’clock until six o’clock on Sunday.

The death has occurred of Frankie Mooney, Drumgriston, Doohamlet, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Saturday March 5th, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased recently by his daughter in law Aisling Mooney.

Frankie, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, wife Anna, daughters Caroline, Martina, Yvonne and Kathy, sons Seamus and Brendan, daughter in law Marguerite, sons in law Paul Gibbons, Alan Duffy and Brendan Flynn, sisters Rose Connolly and Ita Lavelle, brother in law Jim Mc Kiernan, sister in law Patricia Cameron (New York), his 13 cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
