Cavan shine at Ulster Scór semis

Congratulations to Cavan on qualifying in four of the seven disciplines in the semi final of Scór in Bessbrook, Co Armagh, last Saturday. These winners will now go forward to the Ulster Scór Final in Silverbridge, Co Armagh, on Saturday, April 2, at 4pm.

Saidhbh O’Reilly from Mullahoran will represent the county in the recitation with her piece ‘An Old Man’s Wish’. She was accompanied by clubmate Dáire Halton on flute.

Cornafean will fly the flag in the Novelty Act with their play ‘Be Wary of the Fairies’. The team are Dara Geoghegan, Doireann and Aine McGibney; Cilian, Tomas and Roisin Duignan; Ellen and Tom Creegan.

The Mullahoran instrumental group also qualified with their lively performance of ‘Ships in Full Sail’ and ‘Devaney’s Goat’. They are Enya and Fionn Higgins, Dáire Halton, Brendan O’Reilly and Kate Fegan.

Dancers Lacken will compete in the Rince Seit: Charlie Sheridan, Eoghan Gunn, Harry Sheridan, Patrick Caffrey, Meabh Gunn, Aofe Sexton, Annie Crowe and Edel O’Reilly.

Mullahoran will also represent Cavan in the Trath na gCeist. The team includes: Aoibhe Reilly, Brendan O’Reilly, Conor Sharpe and Enya Higgins. Best of luck!
