Gardaí investigating Ballyconnell incident

An alleged assault that took place on Ballyconnell's Main Street in the early hours of Saturday morning is under investigation by local Garda. The incident took place at approximately 2:20am. Gardaí say no arrests have been made in connection with the late night attack.

Gardai sealed off the area on Main Street in the West Cavan town for a period following the incident. Investigations are ongoing.
