It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Marie Fay (née Smith)

Cortober, Cootehill, Cavan, H16 T923

The death has occurred of Marie Fay (nee Smith) Cortober, Cootehill, Co. Cavan (H16 T923), June 19th 2022, peacefully, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Pat, Parents Patrick and Mary Smith, Brothers Paddy (infant), and Joe. Deeply regretted and sadly missed with love by her family, Patricia (Gabriel), Danny, Bernie (Francis), Padraig, Brenda (Michael), Eamonn (Mary), her much loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Margaret, brothers Terence, Sean and Michael, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill, today, Sunday, from 6 pm to 8.30pm. Reposing at her home on Monday evening from 4pm to 9pm. Removal on Tuesday morning, leaving her home at 11.15am to arrive at St. Brigid’s Church, Kill, for 12 noon funeral Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The Fay family home will be private at all other times. Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, in memory of Marie, to Palliative Care c/o Mullen’s Funeral Directors, Cootehill, or any family member. Those who would like to leave a message of condolence for the family may do so in the section below, please. The Fay family would like to thank you for your cooperation and consideration at this difficult time.

Funeral cortège will travel to Cootehill, Drumman, Annalee and onwards to St. Brigid’s Church, Kill. Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route on Tuesday morning in mark of respect of Marie.

Bridgie Lynch

Corravilla, Bailieborough, Cavan

Bridgie Lynch, Corravilla, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died 18th June 2022, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted by her brothers Tommy and Benny, nephews, nieces, sister in law, relatives, friends and very good neighbours.

May She Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough, Monday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal from funeral home Tuesday morning at 10.30am, to arrive at St Brigid's Church, Knockbride East (via Bridgie's residence) for funeral Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Mc Cague (née Keenan)

Dunsinaire, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Margaret Mc Cague, Dunsinaira, Monaghan, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Coretard, Threemilehouse, Sunday 19th June. Peacefully, at the Beacon Hospital Dublin, in the care of the staff surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her brother James.

Beloved and much loved wife of Jim and adored mother of Melissa (Barry Kieran) and Sabina (Padraig Mc Govern). Margaret will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren Oliver, Darach and Conn, brothers Pete, (Threemilehouse) and John (Manchester), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and by all who knew and loved Margaret.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Margaret will be resting at the family home, Dunsinaire, Monaghan today Monday and again tomorrow Tuesday from 2pm to 9pm, with removal on Wednesday morning 22nd June at approx 10.15am to St Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Threemilehouse.

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Crocus Support Centre, Monaghan c/o Martin's Funeral Directors, Newbliss or any family member.

DONNELLY, Anthony (Tony) (Coolock, Dublin and formerly of McCurtain St, Clones, Co. Monaghan) – 18th June 2022, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Mater Private Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Nancy (née Macken) and devoted father to Michelle and Edel; he will be very sadly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren Jordan, Nathan and Evie, sons-in-law David and Karl, sisters Kathleen and Eileen, brothers Jackie and Joseph, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May he rest in peace.

Tullynaskeagh West, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Joan Gallagher (née McKeown). Tullynaskeagh West, Carrickmacross. 17th June 2022. Peacefully at her home following a short illness. Predeceased by her parents Richard & Janie and her sister Ann.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family, her beloved husband Paddy, her sons Conal (USA) & Turlough (Donegal), Conal's wife Tina & Turlough's partner Áine, her adored grandchildren Tiarnan & Niall, her sisters Carmel (USA) & Mary (Canada), her nephews, nieces, relatives & friends.

Joan will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A 81 D328, on Tuesday, 21st June, from 4pm until 7pm. Joan's funeral cortège will leave Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home on Wednesday, 22nd June, at 10:40am proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
