Changes to housing project

A local construction company is seeking to alter previously approved plans for a housing project in Cavan Town.

Carrickane-registered Galrane Developments Limited, of which Desmond and Mary Brady are listed as directors, have sought to remove house number 14 from the proposed development map at Creighan Manor, located at Creighan and Burgess Acre, and make alterations to sites 1-13.

The submission to planners includes service road and all associated and ancillary works.

In 2019 Galrane Developments was granted permission to build 26 houses - 12 three-bed semi-detached houses of differing designs, and 16 four-bed semi-detached houses.

Permission was granted with a total of 19 conditions attached, to include that the developer pay €120,000 in levies (€5000 per dwelling), plus an additional €2,000 as security.

In 2018 Galrane Developments was given the green light in respect of a separate application for the same site.

Granted in August 2018, the permission provided for two semi-detached houses on sites No. 61 and 62 at Creighan Manor.

Storage unit

Meanwhile, Ballyhale Properties has also sought to alter previously approved plans, this time in respect of a storage unit at Moynehall and Cornagleragh (or Oldtown), Cavan Town.
