It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Jayne Shekleton-Nefedova

Cabra View, Kingscourt, Cavan

Jayne Shekleton-Nefedova, Cabra View, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan passed away with her adored husband Andrew by her side, surrounded by her family and in the loving care and kindness of the staff of Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, 26th August 2022.

Predeceased by her father Cecil, beloved wife of Andrew, Jayne will be sadly missed by her son Kristofer, her mother Vera, sisters Patricia, Libby & Susan, brother Billy, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Margaret, nephew David, godmothers auntie Jean and auntie Mary, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

“Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams and fairy tales, that's all she ever thinks about, riding with the wind.”

A private cremation will take place for close family on Tuesday. Jayne's wishes were that her family would have privacy at this time.

Those who wish to pay their respects to her family may do so by lining the route as her funeral cortège passes through Kingscourt from the Dublin Road at 2pm on Tuesday, 30th August.

Rose Moroney (née Rudden)

Drogheda, Louth / Castleblayney, Monaghan

Rose Moroney, née Rudden, Grange Rise, Ballymakenny Road, Drogheda and formerly of ‘Modeece’, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan. 26th August 2022. Peacefully at St Mary’s Hospital, Dublin Road, Drogheda, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife to Bryan and loving mother to Gráinne, Finúla, Shauna, Rochelle, Bryan and John. Rose, sadly missed by her husband, sons, daughters, daughters-in-law Aoife and Louise, sons-in-law Declan, Sal and Kevin, grandchildren Róisín, Kenan, Éla, Áine, Shane, Oran, Cian, Niamh and Tadhg, brother Eamonn, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Remembering her deceased brothers Tom, Joe and Patrick, sister Mary and their parents Bernard and Eileen.

Reposing at Townley’s Funeral Home, Crosslanes (A92 XN75) on Monday from 4 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11.30am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church which can be viewed live on www.saintpetersdrogheda.ie

Burial will take place afterwards in Newtown Cross Lawns Cemetery.
