It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Sean O'Brien

Late of Crush, Kill, Cootehill, Co. Cavan

Suddenly Thursday 22nd September 2022. Predeceased by his parents, Terence and May and brother Pat. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken family, his loving wife and best friend Bernadette, sons Ashley, Terence, Eoin and daughter Arlene, his adored grandchildren Reuben, Konnie, Donnacha, Oscar and Rian. Sadly missed by his son-in-law Mark, daughters-in-law, Aine, Leona and Lorna, his brother Terry, sisters Mary, Rose, and Kay, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and friends.

Reposing at his residence on Saturday from 12 noon.

Removal on Sunday morning to St.Brigid's Church Kill arriving at 1 o'clock p.m. for Funeral Mass and Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

House private on Sunday Morning please.

Tullymongan, Cavan and formerly, Maudabawn, Cootehill

Surrounded by her loving family and the staff of St. Christopher's Hospice, Cavan, on 22nd September 2022. Deeply regretted by her husband Omar, children Ines, Sarah-Iina, Aaliyah and Adame, mother Mary, father Paul, brothers Marcus, Paul, Morris, Mike, PJ and John.

The family would like to thank each of you for your co-operation, understanding and support at this sad time.

Cara Street, Clones, Co. Monaghan

September 22nd, peacefully at his residence, following a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Francis and Noreen, sister Marie (Keating), and brothers Tom and Declan. Deeply regretted and remembered by his loving wife, Rita, daughter Fiona, son-in-law Mal (Boyle), sisters Anne, Josephine, Bernardine and Monica, brother Damian, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his residence on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 9pm. Removal on Monday, 26th September, at approx 10.30am to arrive at Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am Funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery. House strictly private on Monday morning please.

Laura Smith (née McKenna)

Seffin House, Birr, Co Offaly and formerly of Castleshane, Co. Monaghan

September 23rd,2022 (peacefully). Pre-deceased by her husband George, daughter-in-law Jane and her grandson Cian. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons; Val, Laurence, George and Greg, daughters-in-law; Dorothy, Claire and Veronica, grandchildren; Alannah, Darragh, Aoife, Alex, Sam Charlie, Leah, Eoghan, Michael and Gary, great- grandson Finn, brother-in-law Austin, sister-in-law Margaret, nephew, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home, Birr, on Sunday evening from 5pm -7pm. Removal to arrive at St. Brendan’s Church, Birr, on Monday morning at 10.45am for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Clonoghill Cemetery, Birr.
