Melissa Madden and Trisha Lynch of Café Rem in Arva wish all their customers a very happy Christmas.

Fresh and tasty!

With over 30 years in business in Arvagh, Ronnie Duke of Ronnie’s Fruit and Veg says one thing remains the same - quality is key. “Between myself and my wife Marion we run the fruit and veg shop and Rem Cafe in the town,” he revealed.

They pride themselves on sourcing as much local and Irish produce as possible.

“Our main potato grower is Hickey brothers in Ardee, who also provide us with our cabbage, turnips, carrots and cauliflower. Freshness is key for us,” says Ronnie.

The store gets fresh deliveries every day. “It’s fresh from field to fork,” he assures.

The shop also has a wide range of products including fresh fish, frozen food, groceries, pet products, household goods, hampers and wreaths.

Café Rem has also gone from strength to strength since it opened eight years ago. “It’s all home-cooked food. We do everything from breakfasts, dinners, lunches, and fast food as well as our homemade desserts freshly made to order. We have great staff in Patricia, Rhoda and Melissa who run the café and myself, my wife Marion and Kathleen run the grocery shop. My daughter Erica is in college in Cavan. She helps out and is coming into the business when she graduates,” says Ronnie proudly.
