Man arrested after foot chase in Cavan

A man in Cavan town was arrested on after trying to gain entry to a building site in the town on Wednesday April 5.

Gardaí were alerted to the intruder at the site and upon arrival observed him attempting to gain entry to the building.

A foot chase ensued and a male in his late 20's was subsequently arrested. On arrest it was found that he had two outstanding warrants existence also.

He was was charged with related offences and is now before the courts.
