Bernard (Bennie) Duffy

Nolagh, Shercock, Cavan

Bernard (Bennie) Duffy, Nolagh, Shercock, Co. Cavan died on the 22nd May 2023 peacefully in Fairlawns Nursing Home, Bailieborough. Former bus driver with Hegarty's, Kingscourt. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Anne, sisters Ellen, Mary and Eileen and brothers Thomas, Packie and Charlie. Deeply regretted by his nieces and nephews in England and USA, his cousins, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday, 24th May, from 4pm until removal at 6:30pm to arrive at St. Patrick's Church, Shercock at 7pm. Funeral mass on Thursday morning at 11am with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The family would like to acknowledge our friend and good neighbour Rose Hamilton for the support given to Bennie over the years. We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful care and attention given to Bennie by the management and staff of Fairlawns Nursing Home.

Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his father Larry and his niece Katelin. Survived by his mother Patricia, daughter Alida, sister Kathy, nephews Aaron, Brandon and Tadhg, his close friend Anna and extended family and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Rd., Cavan H12RF78, on Thursday evening from 7pm until 9pm. Cremation on Friday at 1pm in Lakelands Crematorium. Mass on Friday evening at 7pm in St Patrick's Church, Shercock, in memory of Gerard.

Rathfarnham, Dublin / Monaghan

Peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff in St Vincent’s University Hospital. Dearly beloved husband of Rosanna, Loving father to Richard, Malcolm, Ruth and Hilary, deeply missed by his loving family, adored grandchildren, daughters-in-law Lisa and Maggie, sons-in-law Mark and Greg, his sister Jenny and brother John, brother-in-law Randal, sister-in-law Anna, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his sisters and brothers Mary, Isobel, Liz, Vic and Tom.

Removal on Wednesday morning (May 24th) to Christ Church, Taney arriving for Funeral Service at 12pm, followed by cremation in Mount Jerome Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers to Irish Heart Foundation.

Michael McGuinness

Ballagh, Threemilehouse, Monaghan, H18 A020

peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Roisín, sons Gerard (Maria), Eugene (Fiona), Peadar (Kathleen), Mícheál (Áine), daughter Elizabeth (Brendan), sisters Alice and Eileen, grandchildren, brothers in law, sisters in law, .nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his residence today Tuesday (23/05/2023) from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and tomorrow Wednesday (24/05/2023) from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

House private at other times please.

Removal on Wednesday at 6.30 p.m., arriving at St. Michael’s Church, Corcaghan at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Eric Ritchie

Consett UK and formerly, Drum, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Eric Ritchie, Consett UK and formerly Drum Co. Monaghan, 16th December 2022, aged 91 years. Peacefully in the care of his family.

Sadly missed and remembered by his wife Lily, daughter Violet Mealiff, son Roy Ritchie, grandchildren Mark & Tracy Mealiff and Adam & Alix Ritchie.

Memorial Service and burial of ashes Drum Presbyterian Church, Sat 27th May at 2pm.
