Rose O’Reilly, Drumauna, Drung and late of Lahard, Killeshandra. Beloved wife of the late Thomas. Recently predeceased by her son Colm. Dear mother of Philip, Oliver and Rosemarie. Sadly missed by her sons, daughter, son-in-law Brian Galligan and her grandson Paídí. Funeral Arrangements Later

Bernadette (Bernie) Burns

Redhills, Cavan / Monaghan

Bernadette (Bernie) Burns, formerly Redhills, Belturbet, Co. Cavan, 22nd January 2024, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, following a short illness. Bernie will be sadly missed by all the staff and residents of Blackwater House, Monaghan and the wider St. Davnet's Community, where she was a resident for many years. May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, on Tuesday, 23rd January from 7pm to 9pm. Remains arriving to St. Patrick's Church, Drumalee, Belturbet on Wednesday, 24th January, for 12noon Funeral Mass. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Paraic Farrelly

Rassan, Crosserlough, Cavan

Paraic Farrelly, Rassan, Crosserlough suddenly on the 20th of January 2024. Predeceased by his father Jimmy and brother Raymond. Deeply regretted by his loving mother Maura, brothers Seamus (Pauline) and Hubert. May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Reposing at his late home Rassan, Crosserlough (A82H339) on Tuesday from 5.15 pm until 8.00pm. Removal on Wednesday to St Mary's Church, Crosserlough arriving for requiem Mass at 12.00 noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

David Kelly

Portmarnock, Dublin / Cavan

Kelly, David (Portmarnock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Moynehall, Cavan) suddenly and unexpectedly at home, beloved husband of Jacinta, loving father of Caoimhe, Eoin and Maria. Very sadly missed by his heartbroken family, Caoimhe’s partner James, Eoin’s partner Lauren, brothers and sisters Paul (Maureen), John (Siobhan), Suzanne, Helen (Tarzisius), Miriam (Pete), Colin (Louise) and Yvonne (John), sister-in-law Ruth (John), nieces, nephews, grand nephew, relatives, friends and neighbours. Michael O'Leary, No.6 Convent Court, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, died on the 19th January 2024. Predeceased by his brother Finbarr. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his beloved children Michael, Pheobe and Chelsea, his parents Michael and Ann, brothers Johnnie, Jimmy, Philip and Martin, sisters Gloria, Marie, Helen, Pamela and Charlene, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Tuesday 23rd January from 5pm - 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Anne's Cemetery.

Eileen Coogan (née O'Hara)

formerly The Bungalow, Gallinagh, Monaghan Town, Monaghan

Peacefully at St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan. Predeceased by her husband Tommy. Sadly missed by her cousins, the Coogan family, relatives and friends. May she rest in peace. Reposing at St. Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay, on Tuesday (23/01/2024) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Nursing Home on Wednesday (24/01/2024) at 11 a.m. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery, Latlurcan, Monaghan. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to the Dialysis Unit, Cavan.

Eamon McGahan

Deescard, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Eamon McGahan, Deescart, Magheracloone, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, 20th January 2024. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Nancy (née Gerrard). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his sister Angela and her husband Ted O’Donovan, his brothers Peter and Fr. Noel McGahan PP (Clogher & Eskra, Co. Tyrone), niece Aine, nephew Peter, relatives, neighbours and friends. May His Gentle Soul Rest in Peace

Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) on Tuesday from 3pm until prayers at 6pm with removal afterwards to St. Patrick’s Church, Upper Magheracloone (A81 KD72) arriving at 7pm. Martin McKenna

Fort Johnson, Emyvale, Monaghan

Peacefully in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Sadly missed by his children Kieran (Mary), Fergus, Deirdre (Martin Sweeney), Caroline, Catriona (James Kearns) and Gareth (Dolores). He will always be remembered by his grandchildren Adrian, Darren, Daniel, Dane, Patrick, Ryan, Alana, Emer, Shane, Mark, Ciara, Ria, Kailey, Shannon, Eoghan, Liam, Chloe and his great grandchildren Jayden, Isla, Willow, Harley, Jackson, Sonny, Alexander, Marshal and Oliver.

Martin will repose at his residence on Monday (22/01/2024) from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Tuesday (23/01/2024) from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Removal on Wednesday morning (24/01/2024) at 10.30 a.m. to arrive at St Patrick's Church, Corracrin for Mass at 11 a.m. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.
