Mary Brady

Carnin, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan

The death has occurred of Mary Brady, Carnin, Ballyjamesduff and formerly of Bronxville, New York, January 23, 2024, peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Kathleen and John Brady and brother John James.

Sadly missed by her heartbroken siblings Tony (Leontia), Bernie (Paddy), Geraldine (Harry), Declan, Siobhan (Brian), Gabriel (Angela), Finbar, Michael (Chris) and Evelyn (Sean), sister in-law Bernie, nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.

Mary will be reposing at her residence in Carnin, Ballyjamesduff (A82 P0A9) this Thursday evening from 4pm to 8pm. Funeral mass on Friday morning at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Castlerahan with burial afterwards in Ballyjamesduff Old Cemetery.

House will be private at all other times.

Annie Lynch

(née Smith)

Church Street, Killeshandra, Cavan

Annie Lynch (nee Smith), Church Street, Killeshandra, County Cavan, Monday 22nd January 2024, suddenly and peacefully, in her 90th year, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Owen, and her parents, James and Rose (Smith), Lavey. Very deeply regretted by her loving son Eugene, daughter-in-law Siobhán, adored grandchildren, Aoife, Molly and Tara, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and wonderful neighbours.

Reposing at Lakeland Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan H12 RF78 on Thursday, 25th January, from 5.30pm - 8pm. Removal from the residence of her son Eugene, Marahill, Crossdoney on Friday, 26th January, to arrive at St. Brigid's Church, Killeshandra H12 DD79 for Funeral Mass at 1pm. Funeral mass to be livestreamed here.

Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Rose O'Reilly

(née Arkins)

Drumauna, Drung, Cavan / Killeshandra, Cavan

Rose O’Reilly, Drumauna, Drung, Cavan and late of Lahard, Killeshandra, and Moynagh, Finea. Beloved wife of the late Thomas and dear mother of the recently deceased Colm. Sadly missed by her sons Philip and Oliver, daughter Rosemarie, son-in-law Brian Galligan, grandson Páidí and her sisters Philomena and Margaret. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters John, James, Luke, Bridget and Mary.

Reposing in Lakeland’s Funeral Home, Dublin Rd, Cavan on Friday evening from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11.00am in St. Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra, with interment in adjoining cemetery. House private at all times. Funeral Mass will be live streamed here.

(née O'Reilly)

Rathfarnham, Dublin / Virginia, Cavan

PURCELL, Monica (née O’Reilly), late of Rathfarnham and formerly of Bruise Hill, Virginia, Co. Cavan. Passed away peacefully on the 22nd of January 2024, in the care of the staff at Lisheen Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late John and loving mother of Martina, Therese, John, Angelina, Brian and the late Patrick; Monica will be sadly missed by her children, grandsons Shane, James, Ryan, Brian, Stephen, Ben, Jack and Brian Jnr., granddaughters Shannon, Kira and Erin, great-grandson Finn, sons-in-law Peter, James and Alan, daughters-in-law Claire and Orla, her sisters Mary and Claire, brothers Anthony and Dermot, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and all extended family, neighbours and friends.

Monica will be reposing at Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, D24 Y042, on Wednesday, January 24th, from 5.30pm to 8.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning to the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange, D16 H7V2, arriving for 10am Mass, followed by burial in Balgriffin Cemetery, D17 C677. Cyril Trenier, Castle Street, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan, Sunday, January 21st, suddenly and peacefully, in Sligo General Hospital. Predeceased by his loving wife Esther. Cyril will be sadly missed by his daughters Gillian (Hall), Alma (Richardson), son Ralph, sons-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and all the family circle.

Resting in Lawlor's Funeral Home (H14 R583) Ernehill, Belturbet on Wednesday 24th January from 4pm until 8pm. Funeral cortege leaving the family home on Thursday at 1.15pm arriving at Drumlane Parish Church at 2pm for funeral service followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.
