Eugene Brady

Cootehill Road, Cavan Town, Cavan

Eugene Brady, Cootehill Road, Cavan, Friday February 23rd 2024, peacefully in the loving care of his Family and the staff at College View Nursing Home, Cavan. Former Director with Brady Bros. Marts and Hotel Group.

Pre deceased by his brother Tommy, sisters Mary and Nancy.

Beloved husband and best friend of Denise. Eugene will be very sadly missed by his devoted and loving wife Denise, brothers Patrick Joseph and Jimmy, sisters in law Jeannette Gibbs and Ann Brady, nieces Sinéad and Elm, Stuart (nephew) all his nephews and nieces, his relatives and many, many friends.

May his Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Eugene will repose at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan, H12 C821, on Monday evening from 5pm, and conclude with prayer service at 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Cathedral of Ss Patrick & Felim, Cavan Via Farnham St. and arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass the cortège will travel to Lakeland Crematorium for reception prayers and cremation.

Andrew (Andy) Clarke

Lisnasasonagh, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Andrew (Andy) Clarke, Lisnasasonagh, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan peacefully and surrounded by his family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, 24th February 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Patrick & Alice. Deeply regretted by his sisters Sr. Martha Clarke, Nuala Faherty, Pauline Maguire & Philomena Finnegan. Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rest In Peace

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, (A82 R3W2) on Monday 26th February from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Tuesday evening, 27th February to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, arriving for 6.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 28th February with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael Collins

The death has occurred of Michael Collins, Coragh, Ballyjamesduff, Co. Cavan.

Michael Collins Coragh, Ballyjamesduff and formerly Farnborough, Kent, England. Predeceased by his parents Fred & Ada Collins. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Phyllis, daughters Marina(Brian) & Lorraine(Darren) & son Neal (Sinead), grandchildren James, Kerry, Elizabeth, Killian, Erin, Saoirse & Donnacha & extended family and friends.

Kathleen Corrigan (née Sexton) Retired Chiropodist, 12 Bellview Drive, Station Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan Friday 23rd February 2024 peacefully at the residence of her daughter Regina Clarke, Seefin, Bailieboro A82 N620. Predeceased by her husband Patrick Francis, her grandson Neil Corrigan (Navan), Son-in-law Michael Clarke (Seefin), Sister Judy and Brother Pat. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, sons Leonard (Martina), Barry (Katherine), Daughter Regina, her cherished 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) this Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. Removal on Sunday morning leaving her daughter Regina Clarke’s residence at 10.30am to arrive at St. Michael's Church, Cootehill for 11.30am funeral mass. Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middle Chapel Cootehill.

June Egan (née Wearen) 7 Islean, Ballyjamesduff, county Cavan on the 23rd February 2024. Pre-deceased by her parents Phillis and Seamus, Patrick Egan her devoted husband of 61 years and her brothers Terence and Pierre. Deeply regretted by her sisters Stephanie and Medeline, brothers Paul, Sean and Noel. Sadly missed by her loving daughters Karen, Amanda, Martina and Claire and her son David, her adored grandchildren Sophie, Ryan and Orla and great-grandchildren Courtner, Tyler, Milo, Leo, Darragh, Daniel, Lukas, Ava, Ryan, Robyn, Rhea and Cillian.

Reposing at Matthews funeral home, Virginia (A82YV58) on Monday 26th February from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyjamesduff, on Tuesday, 27th February, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the new cemetery.

Percival Street, Kanturk, Cork / Cavan Town, Cavan

On February 24, 2024 peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Kanturk Community Hospital, Bernie, formerly of Coolykereen, Kanturk and Clonagonnell, Cavan Town, beloved wife of the late John, loving mother of Michael, Miriam and Aidan, sister of the late Gerald Shannon.

Sadly missed by her loving family, adored grandsons Eoin and Brian, daughters-in-law Fiona and Finola, sisters-in-law, niece, nephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Grace's Funeral Home Kanturk (P51 WDX8) on Sunday from 6:30 pm, with rosary at 7:30 pm. Reception into The Church of the Immaculate Conception Kanturk on Monday for requiem mass at 2 pm which can be viewed live Church services Kanturk. Funeral afterwards to St. Patrick's cemetery Kanturk.

Benny Smyth

Laragh, Ballybay, Monaghan, A75CP79

The Death has occurred of Benny Smyth, Laragh, Ballybay, formerly The Square, Ballybay, Co Monaghan. Saturday 24th Feb 2024 peacefully at St James Hospital, Dublin Surrounded by loving Family.

Predeceased by his siblings Vincent, Una and Seamus and his daughter Anne-Marie.

Beloved husband of Cora, and adored father to Kevin, Anne-Marie, Darren and Fergal. Benny will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, sons, and their families. Much loved grandchildren, Sorcha, Oisin, Aogan, Caoilte, Grainne, Kyle and his sister Susan. His daughters and son in law, sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends, who all knew and loved Benny.

Funeral Mass to take place Tuesday 27th at 11am in St Patrick's Church, Ballybay, following by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The Death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) West, Straghan, Sliverstream, Co. Monaghan, Friday, February 23rd. Peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his wife Maureen, his mother Nora and father Peter. Michael, deeply regretted and remembered with love by his children, sons Michael (Dianne), Patrick (Margaret) Colin and Declan, daughters Catherine (Peter), Maureen (Liam) his cherished grandchildren, brothers and sister.

Michael will repose at his residence in Straghan, Sliverstream (H18X098), today, Saturday, from 2pm until 8pm and again tomorrow, Sunday, from 2pm until 8pm. Michael's funeral cortège will travel from his residence on Monday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral Monaghan (via the Emyvale Rd) for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery.

House private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral, please.
