Mixed weather throughout the day

Weather update from Met Éireann

Mostly cloudy with rain and drizzle at first this morning, heavy at times in the north and east. The rain and drizzle will clear northeastwards through the morning and for the rest of the day there will be scattered showers and some sunny intervals.

A few heavy and thundery showers are possible in the afternoon and evening, mainly in Ulster. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, mildest in the east, in a light to moderate southwest to west wind.

Tonight there will be scattered showers and occasional clear spells. Some heavy showers are possible in Ulster early in the night. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees in a light westerly or variable wind.

Tomorrow there will be a mix of cloud and sunny spells along with well scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, mildest in the southeast, in a light to moderate west to northwest wind.

Clear spells and scattered showers overnight on Wednesday. The whoers will be heaviest and most frequent in northern areas. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in a moderate northwesterly breeze.

There will be a few showers around on Thursday morning but these will clear leaving dry weather with some sunny spells later in the day. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees in a moderate to fresh northwesterly breeze.

Dry with long clear spells on Thursday night. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in a light northwesterly wind.

Friday is expected dry and sunny with light northerly winds. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, coolest near north facing coasts.

Dry with long clear spells and light northerly winds overnight on Friday. A few pockets of mist and fog may form overnight. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees.

Saturday should be dry with sunny spells in most areas, although it will be cloudy at times near northern coasts. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees with light northerly winds.

Sunday is looking cloudier but largely dry. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees generally but cooler towards northern coasts.
