Prime homes and land for sale at Eamonn Gaffney Auctioneers
Eamonn Gaffney Auctioneers has a number of homes and farms for sale on its books this week.
Three local homes are on the market including a four-bed at Hollybank, Arva; a four-bed in Corlismore; and a three-bed bungalow outside Killeshandra. Mr Gaffney says the properties are in prime locations and within 10 minutes of the nearest local towns.
“The property at Hollybank is on a nice large site with views of the lake, while the house in Corlismore is in need of renovation and may qualify for the Croí na Conaithe grant scheme,” he continued.
Farms on the market
Meanwhile, three farms of land have also come to market including a 28.85ac holding in Kilnavart; 16-acres in Bruskey; and a 14.5ac residential farm in Loughduff.
The guide price on the Kilnavart ground is €12-€15,000/ac; while the advised value on the 16 acres at Bruskey is in the region of €10-€12,000/ac and the Loughduff ground is guiding at €10,000 per acre.
Eamonn Gaffney Auctioneers also has two small separate parcels for sale in Carrigallen that includes a four-acre site and 4.5 acres of ground. The range on those stands at €8-€10,000 per acre.
“We’ve leased a number of farms in 2025 and there is a good appetite for leasing ground at the minute,” Mr Gaffney continued.
“However, strong cattle prices at the mart means that land leasing has cooled a little. Farmers are heading to the mart to avail of strong prices instead of leasing ground.
"The appetite for land purchase is strong and there has been good interest in sales throughout 2024 and so far this year. We had a good year in 2024 on this front and the expectation is that 2025 will be similar.”
