Unsettled week of weather with showers

Unsettled with rain and showers each day. That's the latest weather outlook from Met Éireann.
Scattered showers and some sunny spells at first this morning but becoming cloudy and wet as outbreaks of rain move eastwards across the country through the day. The rain will turn heavy at times during the late afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in a moderate to fresh southwest to west wind, becoming strong at times towards Atlantic coasts.
Rain will clear from the east early tonight and will be followed by clear spells and scattered showers, mainly over the northern half of the country. Another spell of rain will move into the southwest later in the night. Lowest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh westerly winds, becoming southerly and light overnight.
It will become wet tomorrow morning as rain extends across the country from the southwest. The rain will clear eastwards during the afternoon but it will stay generally cloudy with some showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees over the northern half of the country, with light variable winds, and 14 to 18 degrees further south with moderate to fresh westerly winds.
Tomorrow night (Tuesday) will see scattered showers with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Mist and patches of fog too. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees, coldest in the north, with light to moderate westerly or variable winds.
Sunny spells and scattered showers at first on Wednesday. Cloud will increase and rain will spread northeastwards across most of the country during the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees with light to moderate westerly winds, becoming southerly.
Breezy and wet with rain followed by showers overnight on Wednesday. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees with fresh south to southwest winds.
Breezy and blustery on Thursday with sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with fresh to strong and gusty southwest to west winds.
It will become mostly dry with clear spells on Thursday night as showers become isolated. Winds will ease and temperatures will fall to between 6 and 10 degrees.
A dry start to the day Friday with some hazy sunny spells, with rain then moving in across southern areas. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds.
Current indications suggest that unsettled weather will continue for the weekend with spells of rain and showers.
