Lots of dry and fine weather this week but with the chance of a few showers. That's the latest outlook from the national weather forecaster.
Rather cloudy across Connacht and Ulster today with the chance of a few showers in Atlantic coastal areas this morning. It will be a dry day in Leinster and Munster with spells of hazy sunshine. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
On Monday night, scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will push in from the Atlantic and spread southeastwards over the country. A mild night with lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate southwest winds.
On Tuesday, patchy rain and drizzle will clear southeastwards in the morning as dry and bright weather extends from the northwest. The rest of the day will be dry and bright with spells of warm sunshine. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees in moderate southwest to west winds.
It will be generally dry on Tuesday night but there is the chance of patchy rain in north Connacht and west Ulster for a time. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southwest or variable winds.
Many areas will be dry on Wednesday with sunny spells. However, it will be cloudier at times across north Connacht and Ulster with a few patches of rain or drizzle possible. Top temperatures ranging from 16 to 22 degrees, coolest in the north and warmest in the south. It will be dry with mostly clear skies on Wednesday night. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southeast or variable winds.
Thursday will be a dry and warm day across the country with lots of summer sunshine. Maximum temperatures will generally range from 20 to 24 degrees but it will be a little cooler on eastern coasts due to an onshore easterly breeze. It will be largely dry on Thursday night but a few showers may develop in the southwest overnight. A humid night with lowest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in light southeast winds.
It looks set to be a warm and humid day on Friday with sunny spells. Highest temperatures will range from 20 to 24 degrees, with warmest values in Connacht and west Ulster. There'll be a moderate southeasterly breeze on Friday.
