Mixed weather conditions are forecast for the coming days but rainfall totals will be below average.
Any mist or fog patches will clear quickly this morning. It will then be largely dry today with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. A few showers may develop during the day but they will be few and far between. Towards evening, it will become overcast in the west and rain and drizzle will develop along the Atlantic seaboard. Maximum temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in generally light westerly or variable winds.
Patchy rain along with areas of mist and drizzle will push eastwards over Ireland tonight. It will be a mild and humid night with lowest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light to moderate southwest breezes.
A generally cloudy start on Friday with patchy rain and drizzle. During the afternoon, cloud will begin to break up with sunny spells developing. It will be a mostly dry evening with lots of sunshine. Top temperatures on Friday will range from 17 to 21 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
It will be dry in most areas on Friday night with clear spells but a few showers will affect Connacht and Ulster. Minimum temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southwest winds.
Saturday will bring a mixture of sunny spells and passing showers. Showers will be most frequent in the west early in the day before transferring further east through the afternoon. Maximum temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees in moderate to fresh westerly winds.
On Saturday night, outbreaks of rain will move in across Ulster and north Connacht. It will stay mostly dry elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southwest winds.
On Sunday, patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle will push southwards over Ireland but rainfall amounts will be small. Drier conditions with sunshine and just isolated showers will follow from the north. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in a moderate to fresh northwesterly breeze.
It will be largely dry on Sunday night with clear spells. Minimum temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in a light westerly breeze.
It looks set to be a sunny morning in the east on Monday but cloudier skies in the west along with a few showers will spread eastwards during the day. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in a moderate westerly breeze.
