Drizzly start to the day but sunny spells later

Some passing showers but overall dry with mostly moderate westerly winds. Temperatures will be around normal for late July.

A rather damp, drizzly and locally misty start to Friday. However, it will brighten up with sunny spells and just well scattered showers following this afternoon, becoming isolated this evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in moderate westerly winds; warmest and driest across the Southeast.

Most areas will be dry tonight with clear spells. However, some showers will feed into Atlantic counties. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, in just light westerly breezes.

Saturday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers, the odd heavy one later in the day. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees in a moderate, occasionally fresh, westerly wind.

A little showery rain is expected to move into northern and western areas overnight on Saturday but otherwise staying dry under broken cloud. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light to moderate west to southwest winds.

Sunday will be a day of sunny spells and scattered showers, some heavy and possibly merging to spells of rain for a time for northern areas. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in moderate westerly winds, that bit fresher however for north and northwest fringes.

Largely dry and clear on Sunday night, though isolated showers will affect Ulster. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in a light westerly breeze.

Sunny spells to begin on Monday though cloud will tend to bubble up as scattered showers develop. Possibly damp or wet for later across western counties. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in a moderate westerly breeze.

Tuesday and Wednesday: While there'll be a little patchy light rain and drizzle, overall dry with some spells of hazy sunshine. Warmer too, with values widely climbing into the low 20s.
