Crews responding to burst main on Kilkitt Public Water Supply

Repairs are expected to continue until approximately 2pm Saturday

Uisce Éireann crews are working to repair a burst water main on the Kilkitt Public Water Supply in Co Monaghan this afternoon.

The unplanned outage is impacting supply to Uisce Éireann customers in Rockcorry, Carnaveagh, Latton, Carrickinare, Larkins, Tullynanegish, Corkeeran, Lisduff, Aughnamullen, Derryvally, Shantonagh, Agheralane, Ballybay, Annyalla, Creemartin, Lough Egish and Kilkitt.

Customers in these areas may be experiencing intermittent water outages and low pressure this afternoon.

Uisce Éireann crews are on site working to repair the burst. Repairs are expected to continue until approximately 2pm tomorrow (Saturday).

Uisce Éireann’s Peader McGuinness has assured customers that every effort is being made to restore a full water supply as quickly as possible.

“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank customers for their support while our works continue,” said Peader.
