Showers to ease later but weekend to be wet

Today will start dry and bright over the eastern half of the country with scattered showers further west. Showers will become widespread through the morning and afternoon, some turning heavy. Most places will be dry by evening as showers ease. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in a light to moderate westerly breeze.
Tonight will be dry with clear spells for most, though the odd light shower will drift across the country from the west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in a light southwesterly breeze.
A dry day tomorrow with hazy sunny spells. Cloud will build in the west and southwest later in the evening with isolated light showers developing. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in light to moderate south to southwest winds.
Cloudy overnight on Friday with showers spreading from the south. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in a light to moderate southerly breeze.
Becoming unsettled this weekend with outbreaks of rain and blustery or windy conditions.
Saturday is expected a generally dull day with scattered showers spreading northwards across the country. Becoming breezier with moderate to fresh south to southeast winds developing. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees.
Remaining cloudy Saturday night with outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing. A mild night with lowest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees in moderate to fresh southeast winds.
Wet and blustery on Sunday with widespread rain and fresh to strong southeasterly winds. A clearance to scattered showers will move into parts of the south and west through the day but rain will continue elsewhere. Winds will ease for a time later. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
A windy day on Monday with strong and gusty southerly winds and widespread showers, some heavy with an isolated thunderstorm possible. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees.
