Dry and settled for a time before briefly turning unsettled towards the weekend. While there is some uncertainty, there is a signal for high pressure to return by the end of the weekend and into the start of the next week. Temperatures will recover as well, becoming a little milder than late.
Mostly dry today with hazy sunny spells and the slight chance of an isolated light shower. Later this evening cloudier conditions will develop in the west along with patchy light rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in light southerly winds, moderate along Atlantic coasts.
Tonight, staying largely cloudy in the west with patchy light rain and drizzle over Atlantic coastal counties. Elsewhere will be dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees, mildest under cloudier skies in the west, with light southerly or variable winds allowing possible mist and fog patches to form.
Tomorrow, Thursday, will start off dry and sunny for most places, with the west and northwest continuing to see cloudier conditions with patchy light rain and drizzle for a time. Otherwise a dry and bright day with plenty of sunny spells and highest temperatures of 14 to 18, with light to moderate southeast winds, feeling fresher along western coastal counties.
Dry and clear to begin on Thursday night with cloud spreading in from the west overnight. Patches of mist and fog possible. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees in light or variable southeasterly breezes, increasing to moderate west Atlantic counties.
Dry and bright for a time Friday morning, with cloudy spreading in from the west early on. Outbreaks of rain will develop later on mainly along western counties, some heavy spells at times. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in freshening southerly winds, strong near Atlantic coasts.
Cloud and rain will continue to clear eastwards overnight on Friday with dry conditions developing from the west at first. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees with moderate southerly winds veering westerly and easing.
Rain will linger over the east for a time on Saturday but elsewhere will be mainly dry and bright with sunny breaks at times. Showers will develop from the afternoon, mainly over parts of the north and northwest. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in mostly light to moderate westerly winds.
Some uncertainty but Sunday will be mostly dry with the chance of patchy light rain over western Atlantic counties. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees in light variable breezes.
