Alina Maria Ksiezyk

Drumalee, Cavan Town, Cavan

Alina Maria Ksiezyk, Cois Coille, Cullies, Drumalee, Cavan Town, Co. Cavan. Formerly of Sucha Beskidzka Poland, Saturday October 11th, 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the Doctors, Nurses and staff of Cavan General Hospital. Alina will be sadly missed by her long-time partner Tadeusz, sons Jacek and Daniel, sister, brother, all her relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

May She rest in peace.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, H12 RF78, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Wednesday October 15th from 6.00pm until 7.45 pm. Followed by cremation service at 8pm.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Miney (née Soraghan), Drumroosk, Ballinagh, Co Cavan. Saturday October 11th peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her beloved son Cathal, sister Peggy Smith, her parents Con and Susan Soraghan.

Beloved wife of John and devoted mother of Siobhan (Dermot Cronin), Fiona (Martin Smith), Cait (Jonathon Smith), her adored grandchildren Kira, Shauna, Dara, Conor, Lauren, Liam, Sarah, Eimear, Emma and Daniel, sisters Dympna (PJ Dunne) and Sue (Brian Walsh), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, Tuesday October 14th from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal from her home on Wednesday at 11.30am to St Michael's Church, Potahee, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon, with interment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.

House private please to family and friends.

Ruth Elizabeth Armstrong

(née Stafford)

Drumborisk, Drum, Monaghan, H16H343 / Cavan

The death has occurred of Ruth Elizabeth Armstrong (nee Stafford), Drumborisk, Drum, Co Monaghan.

Passed away peacefully on Friday the 10th of October 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Jervis Armstrong and infant son Peter. Her sisters Iris Douglas and Doreen Clarke.

Ruth will be sadly missed and fondly remembered with love by her loving family, sons Mark (Emily), David (Lorna) and daughter Heather (Jeff), grandchildren Scott, Ben , Chloe, Amy, Carter and Will, brothers -in- law Willie Clarke and Robert Douglas, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Resting at the home of David, Lorna and Amy, Drumborisk, Drum, Co Monaghan (H16H343) Saturday the 11th of October from 4pm until 8pm and on Sunday the 12th of October from 4pm until 8pm.

House private to family on the morning of the funeral please.

Funeral cortege will leave the home of David, Lorna and Amy on Monday the 13th of October at 1pm to arrive at St FethlimIdh's Cathedral, Kilmore (H12FK10) for funeral service at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

Family flowers only please, donations if so desired, in lieu of flowers to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care c/o George Hall Funeral Director or any family member.

Paddy McEnroe (Patrick), 38 Springfield, Mullingar, Westmeath and formerly of Eighter, Virginia, Cavan

Paddy passed away on Friday 10th October, peacefully in Mullingar General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of James (Jim) O'Brien, Drummullan, Co. Cavan, tragically, on 6th October 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret O'Brien, and brother in law Paddy Blessing.

Jim will be deeply missed and remembered by his beloved son Jack, Jacks mother Bernice and siblings Nicole and Adam.

His brothers Sean, Barry (Marcella) Damien (Blanaid), Derek (Joan) and Kieran (Kate) and sisters Maura, Anne Blessing, Alita (Rory) Moore and Catriona (Tony), in-laws and many nephews, nieces, extended family, friends, and neighbours.

John GORMAN

Passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Sunday, 12th October 2025.

Predeceased by his parents Patsy and Olive.

John was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Marie (née Shevlin), sisters Irene Gonnelly and Debbie O’Neill, uncles Peter, Tony and Gene, auntie Maura, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, and all his wonderful neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Martin Lappin, Cornahoe, Glaslough, Co. Monaghan. Sunday 12th October peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick & Eileen. Martin will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his sisters Margaret & Vera, niece Linda and her husband Nik, grandnephew Shea, grandnieces Abby-Rose & Elsa, extended family, neighbours, friends and all who knew and loved Martin.

Philomena Malone

(née Hogan)

Drumgowna, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Ballynacargy, Westmeath

The death has occurred of Philomena Malone (nee Hogan), Drumgowna, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Ballinacarrigy, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath who left this world peacefully on 12th October 2025, surrounded by her loving family in the care of Our Lady of Lourdes, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bosco, parents Paddy and Cissie Hogan, nephews John and Gerald Martyn and niece Michelle Moore. Philomena is survived by her five heartbroken children, Saoirse (Rob), Dara (Liam), Paddy (Róisín), Dominic (Aoibhinn) and Goretti (Philip), her adoring grandchildren Abigail, Tristan, Ruairí, Naoíse, Patrick and Jude, her sisters Agnes, Mary, Pat, Kathleen, Bernie and Bridgie, and brother Ollie, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Aidan McMahon

Monaghan

The death has taken place of Aidan McMahon from Malveira da Serra, Portugal and originally from Tully, Monaghan, County Monaghan. After a year fighting cancer with great courage and stoicism, he developed pneumonia and died in CUF Hospital in Cascais on 9th October 2025.

He was the adored husband of Siobhán, the cherished father of Danny, Aran and Caolá and father-in-law of Johanna, deeply-loved son of Peggy and Theo, brother of Tony, Annette and Sara, uncle of Suzanne and brother-in-law of Patrick, Carlo, Elias, Kiara, David, Ann, Peter, Oona and Eugene who will miss him forever. His extended family, Jon, Kate and Oscar, Peter, Stephanie, Darcy and Sam, Jeff, Emma, Grace and Edie, James, Sophie and Ruaidhrí, his cousins and his many friends scattered around the globe will also always miss his character and company.

Aidan’s funeral will take place on Tuesday, 14th October at 17:00 at Agnus Dei Funeral Centre, Rua de Cascais, 208, Alcabideche, Portugal.

A celebration of his life will subsequently take place in Ireland. This will be on Friday 17th October 2025 at 17:30 in the Westenra Hotel, The Diamond, Monaghan. Family and friends are very welcome.
